The Isle of Wight Zoo are delighted and relieved to announce that they’ll be re-opening doors to visitors on the 19th June. Wildheart Trust who run the zoo have throughout their closure they’ve been humbled by the way in which friends and supporters have continued to support the organisation over these past few months. The donations, be them in pounds or in produce, have kept the Zoo going during these exceptionally anxious times.
The zoo are so excited now to be preparing to welcome guests back with open arms but will be capping daily numbers to ensure social distancing measures can be implemented. For this reason we’re urging you to purchase your admission tickets in advance online.
Though the education centre, playground, shop and cafe will remain closed for the time being but we’ll be offering hot and cold takeaway food and drink.
The zoo’s team have tried and tested our safety measures which are functioning well so they’re confident that we can offer you the comfort of feeling secure away from the sanctuary of your own homes.
The Wildheart Trust family of animals, staff and volunteers can’t wait to see you. If you’re not able to visit for any reason but would still like to help the Trust you can donate here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/wildheart-trust
