Following on from his success during the Britain’s Got Talent auditions, Derek Sandy is set to make an appearance during a series of Wightlink crossings over the next few weekends. An ‘Island favourite turned national treasure’, Derek is best known for his song ‘Welcome to the Isle of Wight’, which earned him four yeses on the hit talent show.
Derek will be performing on several crossings on Saturday 18th, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May, as well as Saturday 1st June. He plans to spread his love of the Isle of Wight to all passengers on board the ferry company’s newest vessel – Victoria of Wight – who will be treated to a ferry crossing like no other. The performances will take place on crossings from Portsmouth to Fishbourne route at 11am and 1pm.
