When it is pouring down with rain, the talk of snow is rife and the heating is on at every opportunity most of us are daydreaming about lazy, hazy summer days. Hot sunshine and glistening seas may seem a distant memory but now we are on the right side of summer, why not treat yourself to a brand spanking new beach hut at the beautiful Colwell Bay on the western side of the Island.
The Isle of Wight Council have commissioned 20 beach huts to be built at Colwell Bay in perfect time for the 2017 summer season. The beach huts will be available with a 10 year lease and this is the first time the authority have provided ones directly for lease. Colwell Bay is situated in between the famous Needles and lighthouse and the port of Yarmouth. With views across the solent to Hurst Castle and Fort Albert it is beautiful part of the Island and we don’t expect the beach huts to hang around for long.
