Robert Plant’s post-Zeppelin venture is new band ‘Saving Grace’ who will be appearing on the Rhythmtree mainstage at 8pm on Saturday 13th July 2019. This will be their first appearance at a festival in the UK and is sure to be highly anticipated by music lovers far and wide.
Saving Grace first performed earlier this year as an unannounced support to Fairport Convention and their setlist so far have included Nat King Cole’s ‘Nature Boy’, the Donovan classic ‘Seasons of the Witch’ that delightfully morphs into Buffalo Springfields ‘For What it’s Worth’ and a haunting version of the spiritual ‘Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down’. Reviewers have been especially taken with the exceptional musical rapport and spot-on harmonies between Saving Grace’s twin vocalists Robert Plant and the wonderful Suzi Dian.
2019 will be the 9th consecutive Rhythmtree amidst the oak trees at the beautiful Three Gates Farm and with five live stages across the site this year there will be more artists appearing than ever before. In addition to the 120+ musical acts on offer, including the best of the Island’s own talent, there’ll be a full programme of spoken word, circus acts, comedy, DJ’s, a silent disco and a grand carnival procession on Sunday afternoon.
Rhythmtree has an enviable reputation as a very relaxed, easily accessible, fairly priced and family-friendly event and this year there is an even greater range of activities and entertainment for kids throughout the site. Rhythmtree is an independently produced weekend free of sponsorship, with a superb range of Isle of Wight based traders, coffee stalls and bars selling local products. Kids under 12, car parking and camping are free.
